Fieldnote is a commissioned language for a field-research team: specimens, sample vials, site markers, weather states, offline flags and forty nouns no marketplace set will ever carry. 84 glyphs, drawn in six weeks on the v0.1-to-v1.0 process this page describes.

It is here with the team's blessing as the reference for what a custom job looks like: the audit found 41 borrowed icons from six sets; the language that replaced them is one drawing.
